Members of the national SAABC EXCO

SOUTH AFRICAN AUTOMOTIVE BENCHMARKING CLUB
global competitiveness database

There are 146 firms in the global competitiveness database against which firms can benchmarked.

Firms participating in the KwaZulu-Natal chapter of the South African Automotive Benchmarking Club (SAABC), which is aligned with the DAC, participate in or benefit from the following additional activities:

  • Annual competitiveness benchmarking assessment and report
  • Quarterly best practice workshops hosted by best performers in identified areas
  • Newsletters on the latest competitiveness findings

The firm level competitiveness benchmarking analysis takes place annually comprising three integrated components namely, a customer benchmark, a like-with-like comparative benchmark and a supplier benchmark. The inter-relation of these components is outlined in the diagram below.

These components allow B&M Analysts to accurately present a full value chain picture of the competitiveness of a company in terms of:

  • The ability to understand and meet customer demands
  • Match and exceed comparator/competitor performance levels
