Climate Change Mitigation in the Auto Industry Workshop

The Durban Automotive Cluster hosted a workshop entitled 'Climate Change Mitigation in the Auto Industry" on the 5th November 2009 at Toyota South Africa's Communication Centre.

The aim of the workshop was to create awareness around the risks and opportunties relating to climate change and mitigation as well as to introduce the Durban Industry Climate Change Partnership Project to all DAC members.

The workshop included presentations from Toyota South Africa's Riaan Olivier and Arden Wessels, who gave an overview of Toyota South Africa's actions towards climate change mitigation. Presentation were also rendered by Durban Investment Promotion Agency's, Russell Curtis, and United Nations Industrial Development Organisation's, Derek Morgan, on the importance of climate change mitigation and industry's response to it.
